Activities

It is 6.5 km2 in size, 100 m deep and the purest bathing lake in the Alps, whose turquoise-blue water is 24 degrees in summer.

The Weissensee has proven drinking water quality. With its healing climate, Lake Weissensee was awarded the EU Prize for Tourism and the Environment and in 2006 the region was awarded the title of "Weissensee Nature Park".

Two thirds of the lakeshore is unspoilt and there is no through road around the lake. Motorboats are prohibited. Each house has its own bathing beach / jetty.
Lake Weissensee is a paradise for hikers, mountain bikers, Nordic walkers and anyone else who wants to get out and about in whatever way.
There are 120 km of marked trails for mountain bikers. Outdoor sports enthusiasts will find all the activities they could wish for under the motto "Health & joie de vivre".
The fish-rich lake offers fresh trout, char, zander, pike, tench, carp and whitefish. A paradise for fishermen and children.

Fishing
6.5 km² fishing area with fishing license. Diverse fish stock (22 fish species), fishing season 10.5.-20.10. y. International fishing competitions in spring and fall.

Health and wellness
Climatic health resort, climate: mild climate from May to October, mild climate the rest of the year. Indications: Functional cardiovascular disorders, chronic respiratory diseases, neurovegetative dysfunctions, restoration of physical performance. Active Fitness Park Weissensee.

Golf
9-hole par/SSS 62 golf course, driving range, golf school in Berg im Drautal (15 km). 18-hole championship courses 1 hour's drive away in Lienz or on Lake Millstättersee. International winter golf tournament in February on the frozen Lake Weissensee.

Sauna, steam bath, solarium, tepidarium, fitness room, whirlpool, beauty and wellness oases, massages, cosmetics, indoor pool in various establishments.

Children

Running/Jogging/Nordic Walking
Active Fitness Park with 12 marked running and 9 Nordic walking trails on existing paths, in the forest, in open terrain and along the lakeshore with 3-12 km. Weekly running and Nordic walking meetings.

Mountain biking
10 signposted mountain bike tours of all levels of difficulty over 120 km. Connection to the 659 km MTB network, own MTB guide at Lake Weissensee, MTB rental, repair and service points, mountain bike school with guided tours and riding technique seminars. MTB transport chair at the Weissensee mountain railroad.

Recharge your batteries with health and vitality in the healing climate while hiking, running, Nordic walking and mountain biking.

Biking
Family bike rides on mostly flat paths along the unspoilt lake shore, "bike on boat" as an ideal connection option for round tours. Public hire points. Bicycles are available when using the vacation apartment.

Sailing/surfing/rowing/canoeing
6.5 km² sailing and surfing area with medium winds. Surf point with training in the summer season. Boat rental.

Diving
Wonderful underwater world in the turquoise, clear waters of Lake Weissensee with great visibility. Plenty of fish, diving center/exchange school (tank filling station, equipment rental, trial dives, training, diving excursions).

Tennis
1 clay court, 6 artificial grass courts, 1 green set court
